
The Football Black List – celebrating African and Caribbean achievement in the British football game since 2008.
On the 24th April, 2025 the Emirates stadium hosted the Football Black List awards. Although the event has grown in the number of winners it acknowledges and the number of people who attend, the ethos has been consistent – to address the lack of representation in decision making positions across all areas of the game. According to the Black Footballers partnership 43% of professional players in the Premier League are Black, and in the EFL the 34% are from Black communities yet this diversity is not consistent off the pitch.
